Helping your child write a research paper:

Make sure your child understands the complete assignment.
Your child should pick a topic of interest to him/her.
Locate sources of information; i.e.. encyclopedias, books, the Internet, magazines.
Focus on the facts.
Take notes from all of the sources.
Organize thoughts and information.
Evaluate the information and write the report.
Please cite all sources of information - using footnotes and a bibliography.
Revise, Revise, Revise.
Write the final paper.
